The Talbot bar is open daily serving traditional Lakeland comfort food & Jennings ales throughout the day. We are also proud to offer Lakeland Bedrock gin, Lakes vodka & whiskies from The Lakes Distillery. The bar opens from 12 noon each day with food served from 1200 noon until 4 pm & from 5 pm every day.

Booking is not essential but is recommended to ensure a table is available.

Our ingredients are locally sourced where possible and prepared without all the fuss and frivolity by Head Chef Gabor and his wonderful brigade … just what you need after a long, hard slog on the fells …  “comfort food for hungry fell-walkers … & Four Legged Friends Too!!”.

In addition to the main menu which can be viewed here; on Sundays our TRADITIONAL SUNDAY ROASTS are served throughout the day … Get your order in quick though as when they`re gone, they`re gone!
