Dating back to the 17th century this former farmhouse, corn mill and hostelry (which is said to have brewed its own ale) has been sympathetically converted and extended to the comfortable country hotel as it is known today; blending modern facilities with traditional hospitality whilst retaining many of the original features.
Situated in the middle of the Lake District National Park at the foot of the Langdale Valley just a few miles from Windermere and Ambleside, the hotel is on the doorstep to a wealth of activities including walking, cycling and sailing or visit the historic houses of Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and Ruskin.
